[入籍] 入籍面试时，枫叶卡过期了有何影响？

各位前辈：

      过年好！在下给您拜个晚年！祝各位身体健康，心情愉快，万事顺利！
      在下07年2月12日寄出的入籍申请表，3月23日收到第一封信。信中说要处理大约12-15个月，还可能更久。
      如此算来，就有可能拖到今年的6，7月份。而在下的枫叶卡的有效期是到5月末。

      请问各位前辈：  在下是否需要办理新的枫叶卡？

中国护照过期肯定没有问题。

I called CIC Call Centre Services: 1 888 242‑2100 last week, a lady told me that I do not need to renew my permanent resident card if I do not go travel outside, but I am not sure about her answer because she was not so patient.
If some of your guys having same problem, what if just make a call, and post your answer you get.
