How do you assure that 10 years later I will definately get $42,074?

Before I invested my RRSP in IG, the agent asked me exactly the same question: "What return do you desire, 8%,10% or even better?", as if she can play the market in her hands. But actually, in the last two years,what I got is Loss. I am confident that one day, it will be back but if some body assures me that I can get more than 6% return, I simply won't believe.

if you don't trust, it's your business.

-70%~~160% is resonable,
so if you choose the better one (not the best), your return will be better.
money just go to where who like it.
