Usually their lawer will help you apply for visa. Ask their Human Resources to for assistance.
Does your job within the TN category? otherwise you may need a H visa which the application is far more complicated. Just search TN in google.

I think notorized one should be OK. But I think the best way is to have it certified by the Chinese embassy. There are some agencies in Montreal who can do this kind of stuff. Try Mac Service.
