本人想买一辆二手车，价钱在4000~5000$左右，最好是自动档，1998年以后出厂的，公里数不能太多。请有经验的各位大侠帮忙指教一二。听说日本车比美国车好，美国车毛病多，不知是否属实。又听说这里的DEALER 很坏，是真的么？
    心里真是没底，到底怎样才能买到可心的车呢？请有经验的大侠给出出主意。

if u want to buy a used car, of course the japanese car is the best choice. reason:1.saving gas.2.durable. 3. keep value.but of course it is expensive than the same year american car.
i think it is not  bad to buy a car in dealer.because when dealer buy the car,they check the car. no dealer sell the car there is big problem. otherwise they gona close their business. the problem is u must pay more 7% tax.
on the other hand,  i think u need be careful the private selling car,don't trust the words like i want change a new car, i will move to another province, i will go back country, and etc. other than  u really know the truth.if a car is good, usually nobody gona sell it. u know here the people are not rich.i bought a used japanese car from a dealer, i have drived it three years, it never brings me any trouble. the last thing is that even though everybody want to buy cheap car.but generally speaking, the price is proportional with quality.

确实日本车省油、耐用，但并非二手日本车的性价比最高。

如果您打算买新车，日本车是个不错的选择，由于日本车较为保值，新车折旧较美国车慢。因此在二手车市场上，您经常可以看到相同配置和里程数的车，日本车会比美国车贵不少。正是因为美国车新车跌价快，在二手车市场上会很明显地占有价格优势。日本车确实省油，但日本车的保险费和维修费也较美国车贵，而且某些美国车较同档次的日本车马力大，加速性较好。此外，美国车车身较重，与车身较轻的日本车相比，抗撞击力较强一些。

如果您打算买辆3至5年车龄的二手车：

1、如果您是新手，想用这车练练手，每年行驶不超过1万5千公里（多数新手第一年不会超过这公里数），而且不打算开得间很长，比如说三年左右，然后再买或租新车，我个人认为美国车比较合适。

2、如果您想开这车5年以上，或非要把它开到报废为止，日本车较为合适。
