Outrageous thou it may appear to be, let us not jump into the conclusion and avoid oversimplifying the issue.

Racism played into everything dominantly in North America sixty years ago.

Racism played into lots of things significantly thirty years ago.

But it played into few things nowadays in North America with less and less impacts.

As one commentator puts it:

"So who was in the car that was chased and crashed? The two Asians who were pushed into the water? Or their friends?

Racism played a part in the confrontation on the pier. But racism's role is much less clear in the car crash. And that's the serious part of this crime.

Think a little here. Risky to assume we know better than the judge, who had access to much more information than we do.

Yet in this case it's out of question racial hatred was the motivation that started this whole tragedy, even the judges ruled so.

It's so obvious that I don't know how one can possibly turn a blind eye to it.  The history of severe racial discrimination is so recent, there shouldn't be any surprise. If we can not face the reality, then  the reality will face us.
