因为是新Condo,签定购房合同时是开发商指定的,不知道当初是不是上了开发商的当?而且,当时的开发商销售代理明确说过Notary fee 是1150$,现在那个代理推脱说自己没有说过。我们也咨询了其他购新房的中国人,Notary费一般为1000$到1300$,但没有像这个Notary那么高的。总觉得很冤。这里把这个律师公布一下:

Adjustment tax is the difference of Municipal tax and school tax. For eg, if you buy house in July, the previous owner had already paid this year's municipal tax and school tax. so you need to give him back the rest amount of this year ( Total - amount from April to July). This is the adjustment tax. But I am not sure about the new condo.
And I do not think you can change another notary. Because he had spent some time preparing the documents. The bank and insurance company already sent him the agreement.
