It seems your EGR vavle is very expensive. It's about $200 Cnd as
I just check the price.
But installation is simple, should not cost $200. Only two or one bolt
and one electrical plug.

If your engine not hesitate, just drive as it is.

The EGR is 309$ and labour is 72$ plus the tax is 450$. Can I do it by myself?

Yes, you can install it by yourself. First, you should make a lot
of call to find a cheaper one from street auto store or even
canadiantire. The after market parts price is lower than dealer.
Then come back to ask me about installation.
