Acura EL is actually Honda Civic in US. Why not buy a Civic
   directly to save few thousand dollars? The major difference
   between EL and basic Civic is EL has VTEC engine which
   produce 10 or more horse power.
   
   You can buy Civic Si to have that engine and you still save
   some money with same horse power if power is important
   to you.
   
   Or you can skip Acura or Honda, buy a Mazda 3, which
   is much better. Watch how many Mazda 3 on the street now.
  It just started on sale at March 2004.

Thank you!!! How about Corrola XRS? I have noticed that it has 170 hp, and nice looking car as well. btw, what is the VTECH engine different than others??? i am always looking for this answer  ;)

XRS is marked as 2005, you cannot get it at least until Sept.
  Not much review or hype on this Corolla, you should wait and
  see what media and owner's reaction.
  
  If you really like Jap's muscle car with ordinary looking, there
  are Suburu WRX (about 200HP with turbo) or Nissan Sentra
  SE (170HP no turbo). They look like ordinary car but more
  powerful.
  
  VTEC make you feel more powerful and energy saving beacuase
  of its variant valve timing. Lot of companies use same technology,
  but called differently. Even Echo use a variant valve timing.
  Of course, Corrola uses too (that why Corolla is very fuel comsuming).
  
  But Honda Motor Corp., only give Acura this engine and
  as usual, Honda charge more money on it.

:rolleyes: get a good deal... finally go for Acura EL 2004 w/ spoiler. It's a very nice car. IMHO, it's better than Civic Si, and not that much more expensive than it, since Acura's handling fee is cheaper than Honda.

The thing is Mazda 3 is a nice car, but it is her first year. I have heard lots of people talked about some problems with it.

Anyway... the tailing lights are really cool~ just love it. :cool:
