Hi, my friend, I am having a dilemma right now about which car to buy:

Mazda 3 vs Tiburon 2004

Both of them are sport style, with SE package the price will be around $23K. I prefer the following comparison for your reference, can you give me some hints, I mean, overall, which one might be the better deal:

1) Hyundai provides 0% interest for 48 months purchase option, very low down payment for Tiburon, only $1995. But Mazda doesn't have the same financing policy;

2) Mazda 3 sports has a 4 door version, but Tiburon is only 2 door. How is the insurance appox. for these 2 cars? Suppose, I am over 25, under 30, no previous drivining experience in Canada, first car? Can I budget for $200/month for either of them?

3) Resale value after 5 years, apparently Mazda might have a higher value than Tiburon, but is the difference material? I mean, say, if Mazda worths 11K, can Tiburon at least worths 9K?

4) What I should do to ask for a bargin when I am with their sales person? Normally what is the bottom line for them based on MSRP?

5) Is it a bit more bargining power when I buy in December (I suppose their annual bonus is based on calendar year sales)?

Personally I go for Tiburon, but if you guys throw me a lot of negative info about it, I might give it a second thought. One car or the other!
