My car, 2003 Mazda Lx, has the same problem. It has happend 3 times, the story likes this: from the "on" position to "start" position, the car suppose  to be strted, but nothing happen except all the light on. then i take the key out, wait about 5 minutes, i can start the car again. I do not why, so i called the dealer, they told me it might be the ignition. they also told me, it happened only three times, not a big deal, if it happend more often  , the car should be checked. But for now, they can do nothing.
i have the same worry as yours.

I have the same problem!!!

I went to a garage last week and they told me that if this problem doesn't happen at their place, it is hard to diagnose where exactly has problem. So I'll just wait until it comes more and more often. Anyway, I have CAA, no big deal.

Wet and humid weather give trouble on ignition system, such
as relay, starter, ECU, coil, distributor cap, cable, spark, etc.

In your case, either because ECU or relay don't  send current to
starter, or the solenoid inside of starter refuse to push small gear
to engage the flywheel. etc, etc.

Make sure to keep your car dry inside/outside.

你的启动继电器没有被送电，可能的原因是：1、触点接触不良（大约有3个触点可以引发此故障）    2、报警器工作不稳定（由于某种原因，未接通点火电源）   3、电路有虚连现象（一般是锈蚀或机械磨损造成）主观臆断，仅供参考。

It seems the humid weahther is the biggest problem. Whenever it rains, my car has problem to start.

Yesterday, it happens every time when I start the car. Every time there is just a 'click' from some where. But there is one time the start begins to roll but after 2 2nds it stopped, like no battery. Keep trying several times, it starts.

如果听到继电器的声音，并且启动机时好时坏，有可能时启动机的碳刷有问题了。

而且，有这种情况时，往往是炭刷不巧停在磁隙间，用把小锤子或螺丝刀轻轻敲一下启动电机很容易就着了，为不麻烦换启动电机也可以。
