请教！送小孩回国的问题

我有一小儿，三月大(加国护照)，想送回国养至两岁。据说要寄养证明，不知道是否真有必要？不办会有什么后果？请各位指教！

是，如果孩子是持加国护照，你必须到当地的出入境办事处去办理有关寄养手续，否则，将来孩子离开中国返回加拿大的时候，将会被罚款，而且数目不小呢。。

My daughter (with Canadian passport) stayed in China for a year. Usually what happens is that your kid can stay there for up to 180 days with his/her visitor’s Visa from Chinese Embassy. Before that Visa expires, you can ask your relatives in China to go to the local public security office to extend the visa (they call it Foreigner’s residential permit - Wai4Guo2Ren2Ju1Liu2Zheng4). It costs 200YMB and is vilid for about one year. You need yo apply for this, otherwise you have to pay for a big fine.
