My friend never filed tax return for the past three years because he was too busy and lazy. Now he is going to apply for citizenship. He is wondering if his not filing tax return will affect his application of citizenship. What should he do before the application or in the process of the application? Please advise. Thanks a lot!
too busy and lazy? I think everybody would declare in the same way. However, such reasons do not stand.
File the income tax returns for all the three years as soon as possible. Remember, you will be charged the interests and a possible fine.
Before filing the tax returns, ....................never have a try to apply for the citizenship.

Thanks for the reply. But in fact, my friend is really busy, she is taking care of a little baby herself. Her husband is not in Canada. And she didn't file any tax return because she didn't have any income at all and didn't apply for any kind of allowance. She told us she didn't need file tax return because of no income. Is that true? Again, will the not filing tax return affects her application for citizenship? Thanks!
