It depends. If it is a commercial package with the value higher than CAD$40, you have to pay tax.

Thanks. My experience confuses me. I bought a camera from the States two monthes ago, seller shipped the package via USA postal service, no extra charge at all. Second time, I ordered a len, they delivered via UPS, UPS wanted to charge me brokerage amount. I would like to know does delivery companies make this difference. Thanks for update.
