Been to Queue de cheval a couple of times. Not that expensive, at least not I can remember of.
For Foie Gras, a couple of suggestions: Chez Toque (I haven't been to the new site, but I suppose they haven't changed owners yet) or Nuance at Casino (Love the cream brulee there)

Try Chez Queux in Old Port, in Jacques Cartier Place, corner of St-Paul ( I think), check the phone book, very good Filet Mignon.
I do not eat Foie gras, not quite agree how they stuff the duck...
Another one is Auberge Pierre de Calvet, also in Old Port, check 411 for address.
I tired Queue de cheval once, (on Rene Levesque, near Sheraton), 2 huge steak and 1 appertizer, no alcohol, cost $300 for 2, they are known for thier old age steak, atmosphere is EXCELLENT, service is IMPECCABLE. The waiter is standing by you all nite long. Almost 1 to 1 service. The steak is good, tho for that price, hmmm, it is more the service I paid for.
Can try Biftheque on Cote de Liesse also, their rib steak is $16 approx, with bread and salad, not bad at all. |
