first,check the speed of your memory and ensure whether it is pc100 or pc133, i suggest you go to dell's website and find your tech specification of your model.
second,check the size of your memory, whether it is 144pin or 168pin, you can also find it on dell's site.
third, you don't need to buy memory from dell, any memory which is identical in speed and size is ok, buy from futureshop for more guarantee.
fourth, check your dell's manual to see whether its motherboard supports memory over 256M, cuz there are some old models which can identify memory over 256M, so that will be your nightmare. |
