今天刚刚装了VIDEOTRON的上网！但是不知道为什么不能两台机器同时上网！因为有一台是他们工作人员装的。后来自己装就怎么也上不去了！请教各位大虾，怎么办呀？！先谢过了！

就是用HAB把两台机器连上，然后再连猫！这样可以各上各的，就是两台电脑不是共享的那种！

Use Ping to test if these two computers can cummunicate correctly, then I will give you more information.

I am using rogers cable, but I think they are quite same. Usually, the company only assigns you one IP address, so one of your computers must connect Internet via another computer. I can show you some solutions:
1. Add one IP from membership service online, but you will pay $9.99 per month for it.
2. Install two network cards on one of your computer, then use one port to connect modem, and another one to connect another computer.
3. Use USB port of one of your computers to connect modem, and them connect two computers by a crossed cable.

用Videotron的话，终极省心一劳永逸的办法就是买一个Router，LinkSys 的4口10/100 Router 就不错。就是贵了些，大概130元。

优点：即插即用，无需任何设置
      每台电脑各自独立，互不影响
      起到防火墙的作用，无需再在电脑上安装软件防火墙

缺点：130多元

两台电脑的话共需要3根网线，一根交叉线，两根直联线。交叉线接Router和Cable Modem，直联线接Router和电脑。

谢谢楼下的建议，但是你好象没懂我的问题！我已经有一个HAB和联线，只是不知道为什么有一台电脑上不了网！不知道是因为只给一个IP，还是系统装的有问题！所以如果有用CABLE上网的同胞，请帮帮忙！

我已经明白你的问题了啊。有如下的建议的原因正是因为HUB本身没有路由的功能。所以如果通过HUB直接共享Videotron的Cable是不可能的。

因为只有两台电脑，因此HUB没有什么用处。

除了我说到的方法，另外的理论上可以但不知是否适用于Videotron Cable的方法就是在一台电脑上装两个网卡，这台电脑作为另一台电脑的代理。但缺点就是做代理的那台电脑必须开机另一台才可以上网。

In your 1st PC that already is connectted to Internet, Go to Control Panel / Network and Dial-up Connections,
Open the Videotron Properties,
In Sharing, just pick up "Enable Internet Connecting Sharing ....

You'd check your IP configuration on both sides by using "IPCONFIG /all" in Command Prompt, if your 2nd PC cannot be connected to internet through the 1st PC.
