请问在Montreal用Cable Modem上网对流量到底有没有限制啊？有没有不限制流量的cable modem上网服务？

有限制，每个月6G，超过部分收钱，如果你经常下电影，大型软件，不够用。我用sympatico adsl，经常2，3天就能下到6G.不过很多地区的cable比adsl快，有时是快几倍，取决于你所在区用户的数量，sympatico相对速度稳定一些。

谢谢，答复。 6G根本就不够用，几天不就搞完了，难道没有一家提供不限制流量的上网服务吗？ ADSL限制流量吗？

北美的站点一般都能到100k左右，国内的站点一般差点，取决于对方的服务器是属于那个网的，中国电信，联通等等差异很大，下载国内的东西要想快是需要一些手段的。

I am on cable for over 2 years. Unfortunately, I don't have a
SumSung Cable Modem. This brand of modem can not be detected by
videotron script for DL/UL usage.
So if you plan to go for Cable, ask the technician for this brand.
Or buy one (Used for $150).
The speed is much better than ADSL, which I also used for a year
before switch back to Cable. I could get 320KB at moment.
Think about it, it's going to 3Mega per second.

例如在自己机器上输入 telnet smtp.2911.net 25是否可以连上去?

能给一个你的电话吗？我的是761-5438，现在想研究一下高速网。
