My computer can not load window now?
The error information is An internal stack overflow has caused this session to be halted. change the STACKS setting in you config.sys file and then try again.

more detail.. win9x/nt/2k/xp???, boot ur machine in safe mode, post the log here...u may get help...

If ur os is win98/Me/2K/XP, check the config.sys on your system partition, just delete it. Maybe u have installed some very-old-program.

The stacks in the config.sys may say something like:

STACKS=9,256

This line was used by WIN 3.x, and it's no longer used by newer Windows versions.

Check and see if you have that line in your config.sys.

I uesd win98, it can working well in saft mode, and liunx but have such problem in win98 normal mode, and I restall win98, it is no release.

Safemode will skip the config.sys and of course it doesn't have any relationship with linux.

I think the problem is u have installed some old software, some very old software need ctreat stacks for its running. in fact, stacks are most used in DOS program. So, if u check there's no virus in ur os, just delete the config.sys and the autoexec.bat in the system partition, Win98 doesn't need them unless u have some old peripherals which need to write something in config.sys or autoexec.bat. Just delete the 2 files.

Try this way first:

Power on ur PC, press Ctrl key right after the self-test of ur IDE devices, don't put up ur fingure until the desktop appeared, then u can delete the config.sys without doubt. if it still doesn't work, press SHIFT key instead of Ctrl Key, repeat the course. if it works in this way, the problem is some software doesn't initialize when Windows boot up.

if it still doesn't work, tell more details maybe helpful.
