i have a lexmark 1020 jetink printer, after i fill in some black ink into ink box, the  printer then can not recognise the black ink box, and always see it as a color ink box,who know why?

there are chips which remember the ink level in some ink boxes. does your ink box has such a chip? you may refill your ink tank before it runs out, for example, above 30%. you are lucky because some printers must require you change the black ink tank even though the color tank does not run out.
