我是个“硬件盲”，但现在确实需要个laptop。听说美国的laptop要比这里的便宜，那么，可不可以让朋友在美国买了以后寄来？大概要交多少税？这样操作是否合算？
蒙城什么地方的laptop比较价廉物美？futureshop里的太难看啦！

the key issue is the tax. Order online from US is tax free in most states, not in NY. And since their competition is tougher, so they have more competitive price, maybe. But if you ask your friend to ship back to you, you have to pay the tax to Canadian customs, hehe. 对，如果坏了也无所谓。你可以把电脑快递回去保险，而快递的费用是不需要你出的。大公司都在快递公司有账号。你只需告诉他们公司的账号就行了。笔记本我特别喜欢SONY的，铝镁合金，既薄又轻，散热又好，还可以防身，因为它结实。就是太贵了。等我找到工作，我就买一个SONY。
