应该不用这么麻烦，你的检查结果是可以共享的，只要有另外的家庭医生接收你，我想下面的不用你去管了。

There are several ways to see a general doctor. 1) a Walk in Clinic, and you will rarely see the same doctor, and they are very rushed, and they are first come first service, you might have to wait about several hours to see the doctor for a few minutes. 2) go to an emergency room for only if you have a problem, but it is the same as in a walk in clinic, but the wait can be many many hours if you have a minor problem. 3) have a family doctor - in that clinic you will always see the same doctor who will come to know you and your family well, give better service, and always with an appointment so you can plan your day - some doctors are very on time, others an hour or so slow. this is the best way because the doctor knows your medical history and can better look after you and both treat current  and prevent future problems. It is hard to find a family doctor that takes new patients - but some do take new patients. Ask your friends and collegues who their doctor is and then try to make appointment.

Everyone can change doctors and there is never any madness when you tell your old doctor you want to leave.  You can ask for your file - but you can only get a copy since the medical file belongs to your doctor. most doctors will ask a small charge per page - others will ask a large amount for the file - so ask first how much. But it will never be free. for example, my Gynecologist will charge more than $40 if I am not mistaken.
