You probably misunderstood what I wrote. Maybe "freezer" and "fridge" were too confusing?

yeah but how you want to slice meat and not take it out from the freezer? Take the meat out of the freezer, slice as needed, then put the sliced meat in a fridge and you can then consume the meat on the same day or next day.

one thing i'm pretty interested about is that we usually slice meat when its frozen right? then if we put sliced meat immediately back to the freezer it should not look as if it had been thawed. Well, this all depends. If the sliced meat is thawed already, it can only be put into fridge and be consumed soon. If the meat is still in solid frozen state, sure, you can put it back in the freezer.
During the power outage a couple of months ago, I had a lot of stuff in my chest freezer and also in two regular fridge. I did some research on this to figure out whether I can still refreeze the meat or not. Seafood can be refrozen a couple of times but not more than that. Beef is the most sensitive and shall not be refrozen once it is thawed.
Hope this helps. |
