我的jetta 90', 每天早上出车, 速度里程表工作正常, 但是过了几分钟之后, 就停了, 速度为零, 里程也不再增加. 下午下班也是同样工作几分钟之后就停了.

那位dx知道是什么原因? 是不是vss或者speedo Cable坏了? 自己可以修吗?

what vss?

could be the sensor itself. or the voltage regulator for the meter. It's easy to
change the sensor, which is located on the transmission bell housing.  
the regulator is at the back of dashboard. it is hard to check.

I think the voltage regulator is faulty, you should check it first.

VSS是我从网上看来的, 好像是Vichcle Speed Sensor, 可能就是你说的Sensor.

还有一个问题, VOLTAGE REGULATOR在这里是起什么作用的? BTW, 我的SPEEDO/ODOMETER是旧式的那种.
