thanks Tigger, actually the landlord doesnot want to continue renting this apt, because the rent is much lower than new ones, so they want to take it back to renew it, then rent it out with high rent.
they told me they can cancel the lease if i want, but the thing is I found the person who wanted to take over the lease, and got an agreement and deposit from them, I have to pay them back double the deposit if i broke the agreement ( although the landlord told me the agreement is not legal, I donot need to pay them double the deposit, i donot think it is good to break the deal.) I advised the landlord before about transferring my lease, they told me what i should do, but never mentioned about they can cancel my lease if I want.
Now they came to say they will refuse transferring my lease, if I want to do it, I have to pay about 1000$ to fix the apt before I transfer my lease. |
