Did you know that the John Molson School of Business has just raised the
tuition fees for International Students from $305.61 to $466.67 per credit?  
This amounts to an increase of 52.7%.   This fee is not only being charged for
JMSB courses but also for any electives that these students are taking outside
the faculty, such as Arts and Sciences classes.

In particular, French courses are also being charged at this new tuition rate.

Before, International Students used to pay the same fee for these courses as
Quebec residents.  Now, JMSB International Students will pay over 7 times as
much for the same course.  

Today, this drastic fee increase affects the International Students in JMSB,
but International Students in other faculties and other students are also
threatened by increases in fees.  

Currently, there is a petition circulating the school collecting signatures to
show that International Students are against this increase in tuition fees for
JMSB students and any potential increases in fees for other International
Students.  This petition is also available for signing at the CSU office
located on the sixth floor of the Hall building at H-637.  This office is open
from Monday to Friday from 11am until 5pm.  We need as many signatures as
possible by the end of April, so sign now!!

On Wednesday April 14th, there will be a rally to protest tuition hikes and
cuts to other social programs.  It will take place at 5:30 outside Square
Victoria Metro station on the orange line.
