The big Intermarche where I shop, was previously a Provigo.  They take the PC gift cards also, as cash.  No bonus PC points for reusable bags, just 5 cents each bag, 3 cents for plastic bag.

There are many more supermarkets in Ontario where u can use PC gift cards.

Get 10 PC points for @$ of ALL purchases, automatically added to your credit card on statement date.

The only issue here is:
1) u can only spend PC points at their supermarkets, +
2) minimum spending $20(=20,000 points), then increment to $30/$40/etc.

~1 year or double manufacturing warranty like Starbucks card.

After your 1st use of the new card, 6-8 weeks later, President Choice will put 20,000 + 5000 points onto your new credit card.  Equivalent to $25.

(20000 is the current promotion, 5000 is bonus for applying new card online, total $25)

Not sure if they still offer bonus for "transfer balance" to new card, check their web site.

* The Welcome Bonus may change anytime, check when u apply for the credit card.

A number of times a year, they send out coupons for discount or bonus points on purchases.  e.g. they just started ~10,000 bonus points for $150 of purchases.  I threw that out, not sure now.

The best coupons were the 20,000 points(=$20) for $200 spending(=9折).  Only seen that Dec/2007, ~Aug/08 (?15k/20k?), Nov/09+ Dec/09.  We are small family, can't buy that much of stuff, hence I buy gift cards, all $10 value each.

This is where 麻烦 comes in:
1)  Need to call PC to confirm whether promotion apply to purchase of gift cards, e.g. June/08 not allowed.
2)  U only get the bonus points 6-8 weeks AFTER the promotion is over. e.g. Promotion is valid for Oct-Dec30, doesn't matter when u use coupon, it's 6-8 weeks after Dec. 30 that they'll give u the points. Even if u purchase on Oct. 1, u may only get bonus points end of February.

3 times I used those bonus coupons, EACH TIME I have to WAIT, then call them to tell them that my points were not there.  I've just WASTED 1 hour in talking to them for 40,000 points for a Nov. 29 purchase.  I'm smarter this time, asked the supervisor for 5000 bonus points for the trouble that I was put through.  I really don't want to go through this again, not even for extra 10k(=$10). Stupid +stupid+S-T-U-P-I-D!!  :mad:  :mad:  :mad:

Anyway, just the Welcome+Coupon bonus, I've got about $150 on 2 sets of PC cards in 15 months.

I used a $10 off $? purchase Christmas 07, those coupons were no problem at all, $ taken off the bill right away.  It's only the stupid points.  

This time, even the supervisor told me that there was no such promotion.    So I FAX them the other coupons that I didn't use.  As I've written the date and whom I've talked with about buying gift cards.

At Provigo/Loblaw/Maxi, each reusable grocery bag(环保购物袋), they deduct 5 cents from your bill.  If u use PC MasterCard, they are supposed to give u an additional 50 points/bag.  
(Not sure, but think they give u 3 cents for reusing plastic shopping bag, no points though.)

Most times, u have to remind them.  Some stores has the white bar code card stick to their keyboards.  When they scan it , it's +1/-1 cents on each side of the card.  I don't quite understand it, but some stores give me double the points.

e.g. Last weekend, Mr. MP went shopping with me.  Heavy but only spend ~$17 in total.  I charged them to multiple bills, got 10 bags out from both Provigo+Loblaw. So total of $0.50 deducted on bills, but then total of 1000 points added to my card(posted about 2-3 days after purchase), total $1.50 in value.

Just did a quick calculation, for the 15 months I've used their cards, got $41.50 in bags and some small promotions. (From points only, not counting the additonal @5cents deducted on bills.)

With the ~$150 bonus on coupons that I've just written, total about ~$191.5 from PC points.

在买东西的时候你跟营业员讲你要redeem你的points就可以了。当然你得带上你的PC的信用卡，否则他们也不知道你的帐户里有多少点数可以用。

另外，你可以去PC的网站换电影票，等等很多选择！

如果大家要申请pc的卡，最好在每年他有送20000点积分的时候去办，如果再在网上申请就可以多拿5000点，加起来就是送你25元钱呢！

另外如果你消费一阵子后，突然连续几个月不用，他们没准会给你发email，然后你还可以哦按照email所述，在某日前去消费一下，就又送你5000点或者10000点。俺就这么拿到过15000点，可是后来再也没发过email给我。哈哈！

每对+1/-1 = 50 PC points(=$0.05), 自(携)带 环保购物袋, 送的(2-3天后 添加到您的信用卡) 。 还有帐单上的 每袋5分的折扣。

e.g. U buy a lot of things, u used [color="Red"]5 bags that u brought to the store, u either get 5 pairs of +1/-1, or one pair of +5/-5, then [color="Red"]5x50=250 PC points.
[color="Red"]+ $0.05x 5=$0.25 discount on your bill.

Some stores give double the points, I don't understand, too messy to figure out. Using above e.g. => I get 500 points (2-3 days later) +$0.25 discount on bill(total~=$0.75).  [color="Red"]~=每个环保购物袋 应该是 $0.10，有时是$0.15的回扣.

我发现在+1/-1的同时，也给0.05$的CREDIT，但从没去他们的网站上查过PC POINTS。下次买东西时再去看看。谢谢你的详细解释。
