我是新移民，由于landing时太匆忙，follew list没有准备好，请问：从国内邮寄的包裹（衣服和鞋子等）是否要交关税？包裹每件约20-30斤。

另外，在一年内的新移民的包裹是否免税？ 非常感谢！

好多谢您的信息，但是，如何区别新和旧，穿过1-2次都很新的。

My recommendations are following:

1. Cut Price tag
2. Prepare your documents to prove that you bought 6 months ago
3. If your vale is not high then take risk. Customs inspect some parcels, but not all
4. If you want to import a 50 ft contaainer and value is $100,000 then you better talk to customs before you import your good.

5. Surface (sea) transportation is the best rate. You may calculate the difference between freight and purchase those goods locally to make decision.
