The CPR for Family and Friends teaches rescuer how torecognize and treat life-threatening emergencies skills in CPR and relief ofchoking (foreign-body airway obstruction).
Course presentation includes information about the CanadianHeart and Stroke Association adult Chain of Survival and focuses on signs ofheart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults and children and howto reduce risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and prevention of themost common fatal injuries in infants and children.
The participant will practice basic techniques of adult and paediatricCPR and use of an AED.
