I am writing with a question concerning Canadian citizenship.
Are there any exceptions to the rule that a person with a Canadian Green Card must live in Canada for a period of three years to become a citizen of Canada?
The reason I am asking about this is I received her Canadian Green card in March 2004. I has been married to a Canadian citizen since December 2003. My husband has been and is still working in the United States.
Is it possible that the years I live in the United States with my husband and our children could count toward the three-year requirement, or must I be physically present in Canada for three years to receive Canadian citizenship?
