For my experience, there is some students play soccer every weekday at the playground of Mcgill U, which is located at the middle height of the mont-royal, not the one near Sherbrook Street. But in weekend, there is few because most students leave campus at that time. Another ground I know is in westmont park, 5 minute riding at west of Atwater.
