很旧的房子,今年4月份换过东家,原来的管理公司把房子卖给现在的公司了.可能有翻修,但是我的房间没有翻修过.今天拿到涨价通知,居然一下子要涨27元,比前两年涨的总和还要多,我是坚决不同意的.我收到的涨价通知上附了两个回执给我签,一个是接收新的条件,一个是不续约.两个我都不同意,是不是一个都不用回,直接寄一个挂号信去说不同意涨价就可以了.
急等回复,信已经拟好,只等寄出了.谢谢.

Actually you have three options, 1) agree the increasement, 2) don't agree and move out, 3) don't agree but still want to continue the lease.
if you choose 3, the rental board will decide the rent if the landlord sue you. just remind you, even if the landlord didn't do renovation to your apparment, you have to share the cost of renovation done to the whole building.
therefore the best way to settle the rent is to negociate with the landlord, ask them to provide supporting proof for the rent increase, and accept reasonable increase (according to rental board's guide). it will save your time, money, and trouble.
