标题: 合买酿酒设备，半天游，需要汽车
酿酒设备本月特价，不过 应该二月底 然后到货 。。。。。
- 如果你们没人有车，不去;
- 一月20日前 收集姓名和钱 (Berri MTR);
- 二月到货后 你们在 ~Guy MTR~ 拿设备 (一箱，一个人 可拿走）;
- 没人感兴趣的话，当然不去

1) 基本配套，包括放酒塞那个东东(=corker)，约71刀(包括税)。"MP基本配套" 另加约8刀，合约$80。
2) 基本+基本版 好像是 约$60。
3) 真正的豪华版 好像是 约130刀。
详情等我过数天再有空时说。如果有问题，请在网上问，不要PM我。

I still make mistake in price .  U do calculation yourself . . . .

Deluxe set $77.4-20%+2 taxes, must add $7-8 for the red handle.
Basic set $54.6-20%+2 taxes

Only 2 persons interested (=u + 1 other), not worth the trouble of ordering +waiting+ 2-3 hours of driving around.  I'll give u info on place to buy equipment in Montreal, next week.

Sorry, don't have much time to reply right now.

The sales ended Jan. 31 and they didn't have stock.  Boucherville is quite far.  Pre-ordering + pickup is too much trouble for 2 or 3 people.  

Normally, the store holds a 1-day-annual-sales ~3rd weekend of August and they normally has stock at the time. For those of u who do't want to wait, check your yellow pages (phone book) for wine making supply store near u.

After 30/4 and before August, in case there are 5 or more people interested in equipment + has big car, I may consider doing a run with u.  Plan for full-half-day, 1st stop Boucherville, 2nd stop Longueil Store + information.

如果我可以帮忙的话，每年组织一次 去买没问题（如果小店仍然开门的话）。

现在小店还开，价格和卖的东西似是没变（在电话里 我不能问太多的问题）：
- 办公时间 只是星期一至星期五（约 9:00-16:00, to be confirmed），
- 今年不做周年特价，全部 Wine Kits 全年买3送1。（大部分是 两盒一包(2x30 bottles)，算一个; 冰酒有12L 小盒 单卖 reg. $64.99）
- 不做周年特价，就没有20％的折扣。

今年买的话，我的问题和你们的选择：
1.  你们可以在小店的开放时间随时自己去，~$77.06 or $77.40+ 2 taxes (请做好心理准备 -> 酿酒设备 通常无库存*)。或

2.  Web order from Paklab website, 1 Duo Kit + Equipment Set (plastic carboy+corker)=$128.99+GST (shipping to your door included)。或

3.  Check Special $ for "equipment+kit purchase" offered by other retailers.  e.g. WE retailer in Longueuil www.atelier-biere-vin.com.  或
(I always use $ of MM retailer on Jean Talon East as benchmark, best place to shop for individual equipment.)

4.  我跟你们去，小店给我批发价格的，但   。  。 。  。  。  
简单地说： 8月底 8人团购，每个人 $81-$90（含税），包括酿酒设备一套(Deluxe set, less bottle filler) 和一盒淡 Wine Kit （可以做30瓶750毫升酒）。

"自己去买会是什么价格？" ==> 设备= $77.4 +2taxes; Wine Kit can't remember $ now, about 33% more。

"网上有人卖 ３０L 的Carboy,合用吗？" ==> 不合用, only for fresh juice or beer (may be *)。"会有什么影响?" ==> oxidation of wine/beer, ~metallic taste.  Standard for all wine kit and most "frozen fresh juice" is 23 liters per batch.  Standard for specialty wine is 11.5L, such as Iced and Port.

Sorry, I have bought the equipment from kijiji and making my first wine now.  

Took me $50 to buy a corker, carboy(21L)x2, bucket, plus the rest except wine thief, brush, chlorine, sulfite, testing jar which I got them from the store, ~$10.

Still missing sulfiter and filter optional but cost more. Vacuum filter is ~$60 and sulfiter ~$20. It would be good if we can share some of them like MP did.

The 8-set package is a great deal, but almost impossible to find 8 men to buy at the same time.

Honey dear, what 21L carboy . . . . :eek:

To all: besides 11.5L and 23L, do NOT buy any other size carboy, unless:
- 20L carboy (u want to make wine from frozen must=grape juice; they are also available in 23L format); or
- u intent to make wine by pressing grapes yourselves; or
- it is free :p

U can share/lend floor corker, not suggested for hand corker.  Pending on age and handling of carboy, u may not want to use vacuum filter with used GLASS carboy that may not be safe.  Sulfiter is extremely handy, but not necessary if u only do 1 or 2 batches per year.  The last one cost $14.15-20%+2taxes~=$13.

Discount only apply to purchases of 4xDuo=8 wine kits at same time. If only 2 of u buying 1 kit each, it will be $64.99+9.5% GST= $71.16 (duo kit=2 kits), hence ~$35.58 each, instead of the ~$27 after discount price that I've mentioned.

The Costco Argentia Ridge-Château Private line costs a bit more, but is better value for $.  Becareful there is a Costco Paklab-Vino Europa line, a lot lighter.

For now, anyone else interested in buying wine kit or equipment, please reply to this post.  We'll make a decision Sept. 15.

设备里面没有 filter，不需要另外买。 自己家里喝的，可以不过滤。不过滤 酒只是少了点 sparkle (闪亮)，但过滤后 味道可能淡了丁点; 送礼的话，酒闪亮点会比较好看。意大利人酿葡萄酒不过滤的，说"不传统" 或 “不好”。

不过滤的话:
1. Clarification 后（最后一步），只需要多等待1到4周，灌酒时多加小心就行, i.e. don't move settlement  at the bottom; or
2. do one more syphon, add 1/4 teaspoon Metabisulphite(please double check quantity with wine store), and rest carboy for 1-12 more  weeks.

Some wine store sell filtering pads(~$3-4) and RENT filter equipment for few $/day.  U can CHECK  Mosti Mondiale on Jean Talon est, or the one in Cote Vertu (advertised in the other free Chinese Newspaper; do not buy anything except filtering pad there). Costco kit is better than their similar wine kit at 200% price; their frozen must is OK.

你见过正常的过滤垫吗？分 #1+#2+#3+#4 的; 有点像石棉板，没有 “机器“（两种类型），不能过滤的。也有滴沥法，但很容易氧化酒，因为太慢。网上有人写 用咖啡纸过滤，其实用制造商的 clarification 包 行了，咖啡纸真的是开玩笑。
