Hi McGill Schoolmates, I'm accepted by the school's MBA program and now in the process of applying for financial aid of Quebec. I was asked to provide education equivalence, have anyone of you or your friends ever done this before? Coz, many other Chinese students (mostly undergraduates) said the equivalence was unnecessary and would decrease the bursary if provided. Also, how to apply for McGill FA? Thanks in advance!
From Mcgill's website, search "roof of residency in Quebec", you will find how to be qualified as quebec resident to apply for Quebec financial aid. Usually you need to live in Quebec for more than a year and not being a full-time student. Btw, Mcgill's CS and EE are short of funding. Think about scholarship or ask your prof for RA.
It seems hard to get financial aid at the first year. I asked the secretary, she said if the department wants consider financial aid to you, they will give u, That means you don't have to apply, but if u do not receive anything about FA from the department, that means no financial aid this year.
you cannot get quebec financial aid directly, but you may apply to it until you live in quebec for one year or more. while applying, you d supply the lease to financil office which could be as a proof. so at last almost everyone can get it.
but for mcgill finanial aid that would be another story. have you ever applied?
