来探亲的父母们都做些什么？

接父母过来探亲，妈妈还好，只是爸爸在农村习惯了，在这里没事儿干，每天只是出去散步，食欲大不如前。大家出出主意，有什么可以做的？因为老公工作，我又临近预产期，平时没办法带他们出去玩，只能周末出去散散心。申请父母过来探亲的朋友们，你们的父母习惯这里的生活吗？

sounds depressing. I don't think our parents will enjoy their company. What they need is real life here. My parents are doing superly great here. They engage themselves with a lot of activities. Having a job is a bad excuse for not giving your parents enough attention as apparently a lot of interesting activities are at night. My parents have been here for more than one month and they love here çoz basically everyday and every week-end they have something new to up to. During day time, they can read chinese newspaper, go to the gym or swimming pool, playing game with computer. Since you are at home, I am sure you can entertain them somehow, despite of your pregancy.

close to Cote-des-Neigh cross Plamondon..., there is a place called "cafe ...", where people on welfare can get some free food, a lot of Chinese old go there and chat, they organize soem activities too...

the place is facing Kent parc, you won't be able to miss it if you come in the week days in the morning...

谢谢zimco的回复！Maybe they will go back in winter, so rent a small piece of land is not for us. I am really interested in the samll community of old people in CDN, can you give me more details about it? Thanks a lot!

Depends on where you live, most of the boroughs, you can apply for a small piece of land where you can grow vegetables, which might be good for the nothing-to-do father, this might be too late for this year though or you can just assign him to buy Tofu from the factory on Monday and buy chicken from Chinatown on Tuesday,... and go pick newspaper on Friday, etc

In CDN, there is a small community of old people though, you can send him to there too...
