E-mail (may 7 2002) from Videotron Email
3.4 Maximum Use. The customer agrees that the use of an "unlimited" access service only refers to the duration period of the access and is based on an intermittent use. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary, Vidéotron reserves the right to impose certain reasonable conditions and limits on the use of Vidéotron's customer service by the customer. This contract entitles the customer to six (6) gigabytes per month (6,144 megabytes) downstream (from the Internet to the customer) and one (1) gigabyte upstream (from the customer to the Internet network). Any additional monthly data transfer constitutes a violation of this contract and shall be charged at a cost of $0.02 per megabyte used in addition to the above-mentioned limits.

I've been using videotron's services for two years, both Cable TV and high speed internet. Can't say perfect but good enough so far. Never had problems on data transfer limit or received the e-mail you mentioned here. I guess the 6G and 1G limit apply to your downloading and uploading files, not only e-mail usage, so watch out your net activities. I believe 7G/month is large enough for an average user. I stay on line tout jour.
