9 A$ G7 `0 |7 v' ^# U8 V I'm a permanent resident. 16 months ago I applied for citizenship. I was asked to do a fingerprint check 8 months ago, since then I didn't hear anything from CIC.

It is the tax season. I don't have any income from Canada and I already paid tax in US. Do I need to pay tax as a resident to Canada? If I don't, will my citizenship application be affected? If I do, will Canada government still counts me as Canadian resident for citizenship purpose--even if I didn't present in Canada most of the time nor do I have a strong tie to Canada?
