后天上QUEBEC REGIE DE LONGEMENT 租务委员会法庭,因为房东今年要加租90每月,我不同意所以要租务会定夺。请有与地主斗争经验者帮忙!谢了。

如果你以前的房租不是特别贵的话,他一个月给你涨90肯定是违法的!

You can go to the Regie( Which is a court!) to get the calculation table which the landlord will use to calculate the increment. With this table, you will know what items will be considered by the landlord for increasing the rent. Then you can give your objection to the court.  As per my knowledge, in most cases the landlord will only get a small portion of increase, that means you will win the case.  You don't need to pay the proceeding fee even if you lose7 Z  r: F5 D" R" \- ]

I made a mistake, the court date is October 26th. I have enough time to get your guys info and prepare well. My rental now is 3 1/2 $525 per month.You said per $1000 can increase $5 , is it for your room decroration fee or for the whole building? Thanks all your guys replies and I will let you know the court decision so our chinese will not bend to the unfair treatment by the bad loadlord here.

Usually the property owner could only increase 3% (someone told me there is change to this number) annully. This increase is in the consideration of annual inflation rate. If the owner did some renovation or improvement in your apartment he is entitled to increase your rent more than the 3%. Don't worry too much just answer the judge's question honestly. Rental board is usually tenent friendly.
