请教做一颗牙齿根管治疗的费用是多少？

请教有没有人有在加拿大做牙齿根管治疗的经历？总共费用是多少？如有牙保险，既只能报80%的部分，个人还需负担多少呢？

Do you mean Root Canal? The expense varies, different doctors charge differently, I think.

Just for a general idea, the following was charged by my dentist last year for root canal:

Dental X-Rays: $18.00
Endodontic Treatment: $120.00 + $85.00
Dental Exam: $27.00
Root Canal Therapy: $644.00
Basic Filling(s): $157.00
Plus pain killer and antibiotic medicine,

Totals

1,084.97
Eligible Expense: $1,084.97
Deductible Applied: $50.00 (Depend on your issurance plan)
Amount I got back: $827.98

Pls check your issurance plan before you go to a dentist, make sure what is Eligible Expense and is there any annual maximum expense limitation applicable.

And according to my experience, dentist has a big flexibility on fees although there is a Dental Fee Guides: A fee guide that is published by the Dental association of each province. summarizing the recommended charges for each dental procedure. Guides are updated annually to account for inflation and other factors..

So discuss the price with your dentist first! Good luck!

Thank you very much NATURE007看来你是高人啊，或是医生？分类知道的这么清楚。我问过我的牙医，total 是 600 多块，也许我说的不是很清楚，医生说我要做抽取牙神经，然后再给我补上，大概是这个价格。不知这是不是称为根管治疗？我不是很懂，再次谢谢你的回复。

I got those information from my insurance company, I have an on-line account, so I can check the detail information from the website of the inssurance company.

Actually, the dentist will only write down some numbers, I know the names correspond to those numbers through the claim result provided by my inssurance company.

Make sure that 600 is the total expense, because my dentist charged me $644.00 for Root Canal Therapy, but still some other expense, such as X-Rays, filling(s)...

Hi, If you have time, you can go to McGill dental student clinic. Root canal therapy can be accepted as limited treatment. That means you can have root canal treatment done there without being a regular patient there. The price for the treatment depends on the number of canals. Some teeth have one canal, while some may have up to four canals. If your tooth has one canal, the price will be under 200 dollars. 这里的价格也差不多1000快。根据不同的牙齿，大部分的时候，牙医会建议你做个考瓷牙冠，特别是后面的磨牙。因为根管治疗后，牙齿死掉，会比较脆，容易迸裂。迸裂后，就比较难修补，只好拔掉。算下来，白花钱做根管了，很可惜。

如果你不知道价钱，可以让牙医为你做个详细的评估，然后再作决定。不用担心，你是消费者，有权利决定动不动你的牙齿。

当然，很多要做根管治疗的牙齿是因为龋齿洞太大，引起根管发炎。如果早期补上，花100快，也不会有大问题的。
