btw, can someone confirm whether the time for the last swing party at verdun park has the same schedule as before? ;)

Let me clear up the confusion.
There are only 3 swing dance parties at noon on Saturday
at Verdun Parc,
one in June, one in July and the last one on Sept 11.

There is a regular weekly social(ballroom) dance in the same location
in the evening from 6:30pm to 10pm every Saturday in the summer.

Are the weekly classes free?  I love ballroom dance! ;)

I'm interested in going to the last swing party of the year, who's going??

Last night,Oct 9th 2004,I went to the dance party held by Friend Club,There are a lot of people there,some of there dance very good,I wish that Friend Club should hold the dance party more often.

Organizing an event takes a lot of effort,
ex. renting a place; getting the equipment; finding music, DJ;
transporting and setting up the sound system;
advertising the event; cleaning up the room afterwards; ..., etc.
Friend club has put in much work to keep the dance event going for quite a long time.
Although the dances might not always be successful
but the organizers have their hearts in the right place,
and I think they deserve our support.
In the next dance party, we should all let the organizers know
how we feel about the party and provide constructive suggestions.
If you want them to organize it more often, you can suggest it too.
I remember that at one point in the past
the event took place every 2 weeks.
By the way, on this board there are quite a few people interested in dancing,
you can contact each other to try out different events.
I'll probably go to the swing dance in Verdun this coming Saturday.
