According to the MMM program coordinator, the placement statistics is based on 100% graduates. Besides, there is only about 25% of native Canadians in this program, the rest 75% of the student body are immigrants or international students from China, Mexico, Iran, Japan, Korea and other countries.
Each year, the size of the class is about 15. Therefore, the placement pressure is relatively small compared with 150 MBA graduates.
I personally believe, this program has promising future in both Canada and China.
As far as I know, McGill is one of the only five universities in the world that provide this professional study in Operations in Manufacturing. The other four are Northwest, MIT, one in Germany and one in Sweden.

In fact, the application is not that difficult.
They pay much attention to your work experience and oral English.
In my telephone interviews, the director asked me some professional questions in Operations Management.
I just received the course schedule yesterday, the course design is very very practical and there is no useless theories courses at all.
But pretty tense.

I went to Mcgill yesterday for MMM program. Unfortunately, it was lunch time so there is nobody on the forth floor(MMMM).

My question is except GRE or GMAT, what major background does this program need? Does it require special major, take Bachelor's degree in engineering for example?

You should have a Bachelor's degree of Engineer. Work experience in Operations Management.
Good command of English, especially oral English.
I do know that they admit 1 or 2 students who have Bachelor's degree of Economics. In case you belong to the later, you have to have strong work experience in Operations Management and pass their interviews.
