trixbox is a good software with most of PBX function. I installed one at home for 3 months. works well. I bought one IP phone for my family in China, they use highspeed also. so I will never buy calling card again, free anytime if highspeed works. if you want to call us & canada, u can buy one discount from voipdiscount. free for first 3 months.

your will need:

1. highspeed
2. router with port forwarding (if with PAP2 function, option 3 can be omitted)
3. ATA or IP phone
4. one old computer, PIII is good enough.

对 voip 的看法，通话质量好坏同两个方面有很大关系

1。你的网络是否繁忙. 如果你BT 的同时，话音质量就不好。
2。你的 voip service provider (such as, Vonage, Acanac, voipdiscount, *******, or any other server) 是否稳定.  网络的情况很难说，有时稳定， 有时忙，如果你碰巧赶到  rush hour, 话音就不好。

通常，一些VOIP的服务器不禁止ping命令。从命令的返回时间可以看出服务器是否好坏。在我的印象中， 30 ms 左右的应该相当不错的。Vonage 大约是34 ms.

不妨问一下服务商，是否可以测试一下。

其实，voip 已经很稳定了，很多公司都在用。公司的好处是有稳定的，高速的互连网（很多公司用原来已经有的T1）介入，高质量的IP电话。我已经给很多公司配置过，非常稳定的说。

个人市场很难做，主要是很多人不了解问题出现在那里。但VOIP是个好东西。
