两个十七八岁的年轻人,开车的才十八岁,超速,不知有没有醉酒驾车,好在没有生命危险
Three people were seriously injured in two separate car accidents yesterday on the South Shore.
The first major crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. on an overpass on Milan Blvd. spanning Highway 10 in Brossard.
The driver, 18, was apparently speeding when he lost control of his Volkswagen Passat and hit a concrete wall next to the opposite lane, Longueuil police Constable Gaétan Durocher said.
The impact was so great that part of the wall ended up piercing the inside Durocher said.
The driver is in critical condition at Charles LeMoyne Hospital in Greenfield Park. His life is in danger, Durocher said.
A 17-year-old passenger was trapped in the vehicle for nearly an hour as rescuers worked to free her with an extrication device.
She suffered multiple fractures to her pelvis, legs and feet, but is in stable condition, Durocher said.
Milan Blvd. was closed be of the car, between Malo Ave. and Broadway St. for most of the day yesterday as police investigated the crash.
两小时后南岸又发生事故
About two hours later, another serious accident took place in Brossard, when an SUV hit a pedestrian near the corner of Taschereau Blvd. and Highway 10.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was pinned underneath the vehicle, Durocher said. He was taken to a hospital with a serious neck injury but is in stable condition.
The driver was arrested, though Durocher could not say what he would be charged with, nor whether alcohol or speed had been involved. |
