我是1月中旬从BUFFALO转到DETROIT，到现在还没有消息！眼看下月我的工签就到期了！

希望能根据你的时间来推算一下我的案子！

I submitted the federal application on Dec, 2009.

12/2009---submitted the federal applications
02/2010---got the file number and medical exam request letter
02/2010---did medical exam in Montreal
02/2010---got an email said that my case had been sent to Detroit, and asked me to wait.
(check my status every 3 hours on line, and nothing changed, until now, it still shows "in process": when opened my file and when sent to Detroit, that's all!)

.
03/2010---got an email to ask my passport.

Just for your reference.  I think you will get the passport request letter very soon.

Keep checking your email. I got the passport request letter by email.

最好主动打电话联系下底特律Consulate那边。
按常理转到了底特律，是因为你的case里材料应该是都齐全了，为了得到更快的审批。

请问楼主,你寄护照用的是什么公司? 在寄的时候是不是放了回邮的信封? 要不要先付钱(回邮的邮费)? 应该给多少啊?

I used Fedex (they know how to deal with our cases. You may be asked to open a Fedex account because the return mail will be charged once it has been sent out, like from Detroit. A credit card is required to open that account.) Totally, about 80$ (send to, and go back). I sent it on Monday, and got it on the next monday.

P.S: sorry for this late reply, no internet at home, the contract is finished(

you will receive your passport with immigration visa, the confirmation of permanent resident, and an instruction. Don't fill up the confirmation, the immigration office will fill it up for you. For the landing, take everything (also CSQ, funds statements) go to the boundary (87 newyork) about 40mins driving.
