我的Malibu仪表板上的引擎检查灯长亮,  经dealer 分析需更换Engine Valve，要二百多刀。但我朋友的车Focus, Caravan等都曾经出现过这个问题，他们都没去更换这个Engine Valve，开了几千公里了都没有什么问题。

请教各位大侠这个Engine Valve的功能是否只负责监察废气的排放，而不参与引擎的控制？
如不更换，对引擎有没有影响？
能不能自己买零件更换？

如果是oxygen sensor坏了, 你可以自己买一个换上. 否则你需要查一下原因.

There are some problems with emission system in your car. If you don't want to repare, it may burn more gas.

at first, you have to make sure the problem is engine valve.

if it is, then you had better fix it, otherwise the valve might be burned.
It will be a major problem, because one valve is burned, this cylinder doesnot work.

到Dealer处花了150刀买回EGR valve和垫片, 自己更换, 现故障灯已不亮了。
