The idea proposed by Tiger, approved by Chinastory is really wonderful. I agreed
with it.

The following is my personal opinion:
As a self-organized association and having so many bridge fans, a weekly activity is the basis. To get each member involved actively in this family, I think 3 months might be too long. How about 1 month, or 4 weeks? I thought we could figure out a list of members. Everyone listed will be president for one month and organize the
whole activity for this month. All the members will form a council for one year and elect a secretary for this year. The responsability of this secretary will be very limited, such as help find a substitute if the president won't be free for one of his weeks, organise the election for next year and arrange the order of presidents
when some need to make changement.The president is the number 1 and will do the whole things, except he couldn't and shouldn't cancel any weekly activity during his period. Fortunately it's just one month!

The president will also manage our famous bridge bag. However when the president has no car, he could give bag to one of the members which has a car and is able to join the next week's activity. He will also anounce the activity and report the results.

Why not named the person as president for 1 year's duty, and named the person who in charge of  routing duties weekly as secretary for 1 month or 3 months?
I agree with that weekly activities are the most important for our big family to keep living.

I like FM's idea. We might as well have a board of directors consisting of presidents and some very active organizers. No chairperson, but there is a secretary in general elected each year tackling routine organizational stuff. The president will be handling our weekly event and report publication. If the tenure is on monthly basis, each president or facilitator can assume his/her duty upto three consecutive months, like on quarterly basis, in order to maintain certain stability.

If there is no further different idea about the above proposal revision, volunteers are welcome as the presidents and directors.

哈哈...你们这帮小子，又开始穷折腾啦。既然大家都是这个意思，我也就不好意思持不同政见啦。其实“领导”的在位时间太短不太利于“政策的连续性”和“政绩考评、反思、交接遗训”之类的，甚至出现类似“腐败的退休现象”----在位不动脑筋、退位马虎了事。不过大家都愿意过个热闹的猴年，那我也就觉着这主意不错，起码也好玩嘛！
现就桥牌基金情况向大家坦白交待一下：前两次聚会活动节余的基金67$，减去老陈回国购买的塑料牌夹40$,尚余27$作为我们下一届的财务基础，请领导们精打细算过日子，最好是横征暴敛搜刮民脂民膏，以免过早出现财政赤字，哈哈哈哈......
