French has a consulate website, which has listed the similar requirements as ucl98 pointed out below. But one thing that always has puzzled me is that for such tourist visa applications, between confirmed hotel/air-ticket bookings and the Visa, which comes first? It's like the old story of chicken vs. eggs, who existed earlier? Because normally those discounted hotel and plane tickets are not 100% refundable (or with heavy penalties), what happens after one has booked the travel but is later on still rejected for the Visa!? Probably it's more reasonable to get the Visa first before you do any further planning.
By the way, there is a good website http://www.hoteldiscount.com, which has even better deals than Travelocity or Expedia. I once paid USD$59 for Paris (and morning breakfast was included; but I think that's quite normal in Europe). |
