I know you will win for sure. I am one of the buyer who was cheated by him and we (Five owners) sure him in the small claim court last year. The hearing was on Oct last year. We win the case without any doubt. He had to pay us diffrent amount of money depending the value of the car. We aslo went to RCMP to sue him. The police said they will have an investigation on that. But we did not get any further news from RCMP yet.

By the way,  How did you convinve the court that  the bad guy changed  odemeter?  What kind of proof you provided? Carfax historic record is good enough?

Concerning the evidence,  You can go to SAAQ, you pay 8$ and you can get the historical record of the car. From this record you can know how many transactions the car had before and the odermeter at each transaction. Usually this guy said that his wife was the first owner, but this record will definitely show not only he is not the first owner but also  he changed the milerage. Actually when he knew we sued him in the small claim court, he gave me a letter and said we could return his car back to him and give me money back. In the court the honour judge also ask me why I did not accept his offer. I said that I know return his car and get my money back is the best solution for me but I still have to refuse him because it is morally wrong. Because he is a professional dealer and a cheater, if I return this car back to him, I do not believe he will keep it for himself, he will sell to somebody else. That means someone else will be cheated by him as me before. My heart does not allow me to do this. Second, as we all know that cars are special product, it's different from clothes, desks and some other things because it is closely related to pepole's life. This cheating behavior not only let victims lost their money, they might even lost their life. Just because of this, I refuse to solve the problem pravitely, I insisted to sue him in both  the court and  the police(RCMP). I wanted him to be punished and also I hope either the court or the police can stop him. We win.

My case is more complicated, the car that guy sold to me is from Ontario, he bought this car from auto auction and registered in Quebec. I went to SAAQ and required car's record in quebec the other day, but this record just show same mileage as shown in the car currently. I asked my friend in Ontario to get a Ontario record for me, hopefully I  can get a  right record,  do you  think  Ontario record can work?
