I am a new immigrant and i have not receive my healthy card.Now I suspect I am pregnant and I want to know if there are some hospital or doctoal can provide service for new comer.If i do not want to have the baby,is it leage to 流产in canada.I feel trouble,hope to get help from friends.Thanks. Abortion in Canada is legal as long as you want it (not forced into it by your husband or boyfriend). There are two ways of getting abortion:

1)Go see a gynocologist (check Yellow Page phone book and call for appointment - tell the secretary this is urgent). But most Gynocologists will try to convince you to keep the baby.

2) If you want a no bull-shit visit and save time, then go to a private abortion clinic - chech Gazette under "classfied" ads. They will not try to convince you to keep the baby since your visit is to have an abortion. But you will need to sign some documents in front of the doctor, certifying that you want to have an abortion. Cost is about $ 300 (you will have to check as I am not sure of the exact price). You will have to go with a friend - do not go alone because they will give 全身麻醉. After the surgery, you will need someone to accompany you come home.

But get tested first - you can get test paper (about $10 at Jean Coutu or Pharmaprix).

NO, you should go the nearest CLSC to confirm the pregnant and ask them to provide you the information about abortion . don't to clinic directly .

Do not abort the baby, you will regret it later.
Is it all about money or medical care? I think you should have the bady,after a few months, you
will get med-card, and you do not need many examination in the early stage.

Tellingyoutruth is right. Go to CLSC first for checking, for consulting, and all things you need to follow up. Do not try any other ways until nurses in CLSC ask you to do.
