Skiing/Snowboarding + Winter Carnival (this weekend or next weekend)
Day One:
Saturday:
Leaving Montreal, Arriving Stoneham Ski Resort (about 20 mins from Quebec City)
You can join Group lesson at 11am, 1pm or 3pm....
SKI+LESSON+EQUIPMENT RENTAL+LIFT TICKET: CAD40+TAX
Or you can join SNOWBLADE or SNOWBOARD LESSON.... CAD46+TAX
It is such a good deal, considering the lift ticket alone is CAD40.86+TAX
They have about 150 qualified instructors at Stoneham..... One of the best Snowboarding place in Quebec.....
Accommodation:
Motel: Around CAD100 per night (if shared by 4 people - about CAD25 per person)
Day Two:
Sunday:
Winter Carnivals at Quebec City
Place to go: Old Quebec and the surroundings... The carnival is right in the open, it is impossible to miss it.... much bigger scale than the winter festival here in Montreal....
PASS: CAD9 ??? (
DINING:
Authentic Quebecois Restaurant.... (I forgot the name...but pretty affordable)
CAD15+
Crepe Restaurant....(very famous, again, I forgot the name...)
CAD7+
Poutine....arguably the best poutine in QUEBEC....(sorry I forgot the name....)
CAD5+
PS: i will try to put up the name and address later...... anyway, you can find those restaurants on some travel guidebooks.... I have been to Quebec City more than 10 times and personally tried those restaurants numerous of times......they are definitely worthy of a BITE....
With CAR: probably save you about CAD25 to CAD30 per person....
But without CAR, a compact/economy can be rented for around CAD120 for two days....
Total Driving Distance: 600KMS (TWO WAYS)
Gasolines: Avg CAD50+ depends on the type of car....
So anyone wants to GO??
You can continue the thread....
cya...
