我们一群居住在西岛的华夏儿女经过热烈而倾心的交流和讨论，一致通过成立蒙特利尔西岛华人联谊会。以下是我们的章程（草案），现公示于众：

蒙特利尔西岛华人联谊会章程(草案）<O:p</O:p

美丽的蒙特利尔岛像一只展翅欲飞的海燕屹立在北美大地上，而西岛，正是她的一只坚强有力的翅膀。西岛是美丽的，宁静的，治安良好的，又是生气勃勃的，蒸蒸日上的。<O:p></O:p>

近些年大批优秀的华夏儿女移民加拿大，选择蒙特利尔作为他们开拓新生活的出发点，很多学业有成的技术移民选择西岛置业，购房，发展。西岛的中国人越来越多。我们认为作为最大的加拿大少数民族的华人，在西岛应该有我们自己的社团作为华夏儿女交流，联谊的平台。

宗旨：<O:p</O:p

通过蒙特利尔西岛华人联谊会的各种活动，使西岛和蒙特利尔的华人兄弟姐妹有一种家的归属感，同胞同根同脉的亲近感，有乐同享有难共帮的依托感。通过联谊，传承我们博大精深的中华文化和文明，寄托我们去国怀乡的乡愁，教育和培养我们的下一代从小爱加国更爱祖国的情愫和观念。共同为了我们美好的未来，为了西岛的发展，为了蒙特利尔和加拿大的发展，为了我们的祖国的繁荣强大做出我们应有的贡献。

通过前期的筹划和申请报名，召开一次全体会员会，由大家选出联谊会会长，副会长，委员若干名，负责联谊会的日常事务。<O:p</O:p

会员：凡是居住西岛和西岛以外的华人都欢迎参加。<O:p</O:p

活动和联谊：由大家建议，委员会决定，定期或不定期举办有主题的文化，娱乐，旅游，，体育，信息交流等活动。逐步把我们的联谊会推向更高层次，扩大影响，得到社会的认可和欢迎。<O:p</O:p

Need help

Hi, everybody,

Due to an unexpected situation, we have to go to a buffet instead , so we need help about a right place to go. I called several friends, they prefer one buffet restaurant located on Westisland.

So if you have any good advice , please contact us here. Thank you.

把montreal比喻为海燕,可真是一个美丽的比喻呀.但,如果这个燕子的头在东部,估计西岛的位置也就是这个燕子的屁股吧.........即使把东边算成头,那么西岛离翅膀的距离也还隔着少许的腋毛呢.......

早在我准备发这个帖子之前，我就预料到一些评论会出现。非常地好，欢迎继续跟帖，发表高见。

关于首次西岛人聚会最后没有在某一家中举行，原因如下：

1. 人太多,人数由原来的20来人上升到将近八十人,后来换到buffet店，实到七十多人；
2. 由于是首次聚会,大家互不认识,我们主要考虑到安全性.

以后大规模的聚会或活动,同样还会在公共场合进行: 如饭店,社区等.实际上第一次在buffet店的聚会效果非常地好。

我，作为一个主持人之一，认为做这样的事,需要的是热情和坚持。我相信比我有能力的大有人在，我愿意向各路精英学习，集思广义，把我们这个西岛华人联谊会办好。欢迎大家继续关注。

北头南尾，西边就是翅膀。
